April 6
April 6 – St. Marcellinus
Jesus said to his disciples, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him (John 3: 16-17).
Imagine giving up or giving away what was absolutely the most important part of your life. That is what God the Father did for us. He gave us his Son. We will never understand how generous that was. The more we understand what God did for us the more we will understand what we should do for Him.
Heavenly Father, thank you for being so generous. You give the best you have while many times I only give the leftovers. Strengthen me.
