April 5 – St. Vincent Ferrer
Jesus said to his disciples, “No one has gone up to heaven except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man. And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life" (John 3: 13-15).
Jesus came to earth to show us the way to Heaven. It is up to us whether we want to follow him or not. When we appear before our Lord on judgment day there will be no room for complaints or excuses. We loved God generously or we loved ourselves selfishly. It is your choice.
Lord, I praise you for the gift of my freedom. I want to use it well so as to serve you generously.
