St. Anselm
Jesus said to his disciples, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no slave is greater than his master nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him. If you understand this, blessed are you if you do it” (John 13: 16-17).
God was so generous that He came to earth to serve us. The world views service as a lower-class activity, something that is “beneath educated and wealthy people.” This is a lie. Service is a great strength and the more we learn to serve joyfully like Christ the more peaceful and happy our world will become. Let’s be leaders who lead by serving.
Lord God, you created the universe yet you came to earth to serve. This is amazing. Help me to truly understand and appreciate your generosity and love.
