April 3
April 3 – St. Richard
On the evening of that first day of the week, when the doors were locked, where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, "Peace be with you." When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord (John 20: 19-20).
Fear is so common. We are so afraid of what others will think or say of us. Be strong and courageous about doing good and serving others. Life is too short to spend it in fear. The more we fear, the less we do and then later in life we look back and regret it. But we never regret having given our all to serve those around us.
Lord, I want to be brave and courageous like you were. I know you are always with me.
