Pope St. Callistus
Jesus said to his disciples, "There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be proclaimed on the housetops (Luke 12: 2-3).
This Gospel should be a great reminder for us that God is always with us. When we give in to weakness and do something selfish, He is right there with us while we do it. He knows what we are doing and when we are doing it. If this helps us to stay strong – that is a good thing.
Lord God, in my weakness I often forget that You are with me. Help me to pray every day so that I forget less and less.
