Our Lady of Sorrows

Jesus’ father and mother were amazed at what was said about him; and Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, "Behold, this child is destined for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be contradicted (and you yourself a sword will pierce) so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed" (Luke 2: 33-35).

Jesus’ mother Mary suffered a lot during her life because she knew and understood Who He really was. She knew His teachings were perfect for us yet she watched many people ignore Jesus, make fun of Jesus and even hate Him. But Mary never lost her faith and strength. She was always faithful. She lived and did what Jesus taught.

Blessed Mother, you are a great example for me because you loved Jesus with all your heart. Strengthen my love for Him.
