Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple (Luke 14: 27).

Many times one of our biggest crosses can be our feelings: we don’t feel like giving our best. Or maybe we let our feelings of nervousness control us. Take up your cross. Use all your willpower and conquer those feelings. Be strong and stand up to them and you be in charge. Don’t be a slave to your feelings.

Lord, I want to live according to your will not my feelings. Please strengthen my will.
