Jesus said to his disciples, "I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower. He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and everyone that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit” (John 15: 1-2).
We are all just branches while Christ is the Vine. Broken-off branches have no life and no longer grow. The next time you see a broken branch on the ground remember that you are the same way if you are not united to Christ in the Sacraments.
Lord Jesus, I want to be a strong branch united to you.
