March 18 - St. Cyril of Jerusalem
Jesus said, “If I do not perform my Father's works, do not believe me; but if I perform them, even if you do not believe me, believe the works, so that you may realize (and understand) that the Father is in me and I am in the Father." (Then) they tried again to arrest him; but he escaped from their power (John 10: 37-39).
When our conscience is not at peace we may not enjoy being around virtuous people because it may make us feel even worse. If we notice this is going on in our soul, it is time to examine our conscience and go to our Lord in the Sacrament of confession.
Heavenly Father, grant me the humility and the strength to overcome my fear of confession.
