December 30 - The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph

When they had fulfilled all the prescriptions of the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own town of Nazareth. The child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom; and the favor of God was upon him (Luke 2: 39-40).

Jesus was no wimp. He was strong, a courageous leader and he knew how to work hard and tough it out. He is our model and the ideal man we should strive to be like and follow.

Mary, help me to bring unity and joy to my family as you did with Joseph and Jesus.
